  • Cecina de León, cured beef with protected geographical indication.
  • Morcilla de León, blood sausage and the star of many tapas in the old town.
  • Botillo del Bierzo, a hearty cured sausage served boiled with vegetables and potato.
  • Cocido maragato, eaten “in reverse”.
  • Wines: Mencía from El Bierzo and Prieto Picudo from Tierra de León.

In many bars in the capital, your drink comes with a tapa. Start with a stroll through the Barrio Húmedo and see Where to eat.
